Pray for God's restorative hand to touch those suffering from the violence and health disparities exacerbated by illegal gold mining in French Guiana, that He may heal their wounds and restore their health, as He promises, 'For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD.' (Jeremiah 30:17)
Pray for the people of French Guiana to find their hope and resilience in the Lord amidst the devastating floods, fires, and drought exacerbated by El Niño, that they may be like trees planted by the waters, not seeing when heat comes, as it is written, 'Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD... he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh.' (Jeremiah 17:7-8)
Pray for divine intervention to transform the sources of conflict and unrest in French Guiana, including the strife caused by illegal mining and social grievances, so that destructive ways might be turned into constructive paths for flourishing, as prophesied, 'They shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation.' (Isaiah 2:4)
