Pray for God's mighty hand to bring an end to the cycles of violence and conflict afflicting Jordan and its neighbors, that He may indeed make wars to cease and break the instruments of destruction (Psalm 46:9).
Pray for the Lord, who is near to the brokenhearted, to bring His divine comfort and healing to all those in Jordan grieving losses from the church attack and civilian casualties, saving them in their contrite spirit (Psalm 34:18).
Pray for King Abdullah and all those in authority in Jordan, that they may be granted divine wisdom and discernment to govern with justice and mercy, ensuring a quiet and peaceable life for all people in godliness and honesty amidst these challenges (1 Timothy 2:1-2).
Be grateful for the heartening wave of solidarity between Muslims and Christians in Jordan, as they bear one another's burdens and fulfill the law of Christ through mutual support (Galatians 6:2).
Be grateful for the effective measures taken by Jordan's authorities to ensure security and justice for its people, for every good and perfect gift of order and protection comes from the Father of lights (James 1:17).
Be grateful for God's providential hand guiding Jordan towards continued peace and stability, thwarting threats and fostering security, for He knows the thoughts He thinks toward them, thoughts of peace and not of evil (Jeremiah 29:11).
